About me...
Hi! I'm Steph and I'm so grateful to you for taking the time to have a look at SO..Yoga.
I've been teaching yoga since 2020, and practising personally for much longer. I started attending yoga classes to help with my flexibility and also to help manage my scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine.
My flexibility was very limited! I could barely touch my toes, I had very little core strength, and I suffered with regular back pain. Yoga has helped me to overcome all of this, and I still enjoy continuing to build my strength and work on my flexibility. My posture is also greatly improved.
But of course.. yoga is so much more than all of that. Whilst I love the challenge of practicing yoga asana, yoga is much deeper than just a physical practice. Pranayama (breath control) and meditation have played pivatol roles in helping me to improve my mental health and overall sense of wellbeing.
I am passionate about sharing the practise of yoga in the yoga classes I offer. I am always studying and learning more in order to offer you safe and fulfilling classes.
I am a registered Yoga teacher and Yin Yoga teacher with an additional certificate in the practise of Yogalates (a hybrid of Yoga and Pilates). I am also registered on the Menopause Movement register after having completed their CPD certificate, during which I learnt to support clients with exercise, diet, lifestyle advice with the aim of managing symptoms of the perimenopause through to post menopause.
In September 2022 I under took the Menopause Yoga teacher training and am proud be be an accredited MY teacher.
Alongside SO..Yoga, I run SO..Holistics..
SO..Holistics has taken me on an amazing journey of study and practise to be able to offer you a range of relaxing holistic treatments such as Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Holistic Facials. I am passionate about helping you to reverse the physical and emotional effects of stress. I believe that by taking a holistic approach to wellbeing, considering the whole body rather than just physical symptoms and by giving equal attention to the body, mind and soul we can greatly improve our overall sense of health and wellbeing.
Aside from my passion for yoga and holistic therapy, I love crystals, am an avid reader and love to go for walks on the beach, especially at full moon! I adore full moons in a way I can't quite describe. They take my breath away and make me stop and stare every single time.
And when I'm not teaching yoga, surrounded by crystals or staring at full moons.. I am a very proud mum of two beautiful children, one black cat and two dogs! And I share all of this with my husband, who has always supported my dream to be a yoga teacher, and if I ask him really nicely.. he even comes to look at the moon with me sometimes.
So that's me! With all my heart, thank you for your interest in SO..Yoga
With love,
Steph xxx
